Are you a "Trash to Treasure Hunt" survivor?

PDW went down for a bit so some folks didn't get my mini kit, "Survivor Girl." If you still need it to round out your collection, it's now available in my shop at PDW.

Freebie Lovers Take Note!

Hey! What's all this giggling and laughter and shouts of glee I hear?
It's digiscrappers running from store to blog to store and back, looking for freebies from their favorite designers and finding new ones, too!

Join in the fun and get some fabulous goodies from 45 designers starting at 6pm Eastern Standard time tonight. The starting point is DigiShopTalk.com where you'll find out more, get the treasure map and the first clue, and head out on the hunt for digi-treasures.

The Trash to Treasure hunt and contest runs from 6pm EST (3pm Pacific Time) Friday, February 22 through 6pm EST Sunday, February 24.

Did I say "contest?"
Why, yes I did! After you find a pile of digi-treasure, you have until 6pm EST Monday the 25th, to create a layout using some of the freebies and post it to the gallery at DST for a chance to win over $100 in prizes in a random drawing! Woo hoo!

Oh, yeah, did you know that I'm one of the 45 designers? Hee hee! You'll have to go through the clues hidden in the downloads and on the websites to find me, though. I'm not giving out any clues here!

Happy Valentine's Day from me to you!

I hope you have a loverly day with someone you love today. If you're apart from each other...why not scrap a page about your sweetie! Here's a freebie to get you started: one 12x12 paper with a doddled border and a quote from Romeo & Juliet and a wee word art with Cupid's bow and arrow and quiver.

As always, please send your friends here to get their own copy. Why? I make and give away freebies so you can check out my style and also get a taste of a full kit. It's a nice form of advertising - for both of us!

It's Good Karma Friday - Get Yours Here!

Kirsty Wiseman is a well known UK scrapper, freelance paper and digi designer, and a serious photographer. Seriously! She is also one half of the photo-challenge blog: Her Space-My Space. Her 12 year old daughter, Ellie, has had serious medical issues (still undiagnosed!) since the age of 3 months.

After exhausting all the options in the UK over the past decade and more, Ellie and her parents have been invited to see doctors in the US. People around the world are pitching in to help raise £5,000 (a bit over $10,000 US) for investigation and subsequent treatment by some generous doctors in Nevada this coming Spring. See this touching video featuring sweet Belle, herself.

Ruth Denton and her husband, Dr. Scott Denton, a professor of pediatrics at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, have arranged visits with various physicians and clinics in the Las Vegas area to try and identify Ellie's ailment(s) and treat them effectively.

Ellie's story has also hit the news bigtime with a feature in the Daily Mail and on
Fox News. Read more about Ellie and her family on Kirsty's blog and on the Ellie's Trust web site.

Doing my part...
All the proceeds from the sale of my new kit, Red, Red Rose, during both February and March will be donated to Ellie's Trust fund. The kit is almost done so watch for it soon. I'm just finishing up the packaging and previews now - almost as time consuming as creating the whole kit!

Doing your part...
Please visit Ellie's site and donate to this worthy cause. Then, come back here in a few days when my new kit will be available to purchase. Every penny helps and Kirsty pledges that any extra will be donated to approriate causes and/or charities.

Project 365 - Week Five Complete

I Love Quotations!

Dance like it hurts,
Love like you need money,
Work when people are watching.
~ Scott Adams

I ran across this alternative to the ever popular "dance like no one's watching" quote and it gave me a wee giggle so I thought I'd share it with you today.

I also created a fun wallpaper (1024x768) for my PC with a "silly" quote from Mike Myers. Pay attention to the words in red...they are words to live by!

A silly quote! If you like it, download it here!
