My good friend Marilyn, and her hubby Russ, recently put everything in storage, rented out their house, and took off sailing away to the South Pacific and tropical beaches...on a five year or so journey to wherever the trade winds blow them.In days of yore, communication would be the odd letter or post card. Today, we can e-mail through the short wave radio and track their journey online through a marvelous site called ShipTrak. Every once in a while, Marilyn gets to a port with wifi or an internet-capable library and uploads stories and photos to their blog. In this way, we get to travel with them virtually.
I love technology...thank you , Internet! Now, if only we could get smell-a-vision invented...
